Assassin or Ritualist?
After a year im back to GW. I deleted all my chars except my monk and i made a rit and a sin. I love to play both, and finished all campaigns + EotN with them, although i must admit that im pretty sure im not getting my sin to his full potential.
Now my dilemma; I need a main char and I cant decide between them. I know that has to be a personal choice, but i hope with the following items i could get some help. .I play mainly with h/h, so what char has the "best" synergie with them? .I plan to do all the dungeons NM and HM. .Do some farming. .In time walking to GWAMM title. Thanks in advance. |

Both classes will do the 4 things you listed just as "good" as the other one. There's no real downside or advantage between an assassin and a ritualist for H/H, dungeons and farming.
It comes down to personal preference. If you enjoy melee more than caster, go with the assassin. If it's the other way around, pick the ritualist. |

Like RotteN said, both assassin and ritualist are excellent for all four points you mentioned. Rit is my secondary char, sin my tertiary. Both are used frequently and can find great use in both h/h and human parties. The main difference is play style. Rits will often focus on spirit spamming while assassins focus on dagger chaining. I enjoy both styles very much so I'd suggest trying both characters for a while and see which one you like best. Be aware that both professions are relatively weak before level 20.

/agree with the above two posters
Rit is one of my two mains so i have a natural bias towards rits but both will do what you listed well. However, I will remind you that GWAMM is a tedious and slow process. I don't know what kinds of playstyle you prefer, but rits can play a wider variety of playstyles than assassins can and therefore may be the better route if you should choose to get gwamm. I know many who have given up on the title due to the boredom of playing one profession through every vanquish and every mission and every dungeon. If you think you could do all of this without becoming bored of being a physical attacker/assacasting, then i would say either is a good bet. If you are the type of person who likes multiple playstyles or would get bored of playing one playstyle for too long at a time, then i would suggest the rit, as they have a very wide variety of "stuff" that they can do (healing, support, spirit protting, spirit spamming, minion bombing, spirit's strength builds, channeling offensive builds, etc.) |

Both will work. But I'll throw out a few things to consider...
Rit - Spirit Spammer is an easy build to run, can get into groups if needed easily. Can solo many areas for farming including UW. Can also run several other builds - resto, ST, MM, 330 VWK, etc. It's fun to change it up but with SoS, it's a breeze to H/H missions and such. Sin - Daggers are fun to run but you have less armor than other melee so be careful. Many PUG's don't particularily like dagger sins. Can run AP caller builds to run Discord H/H easily. Can also run Shadow Form builds so you can get into SC groups for many dungeons easily. Your choice but I'd say play them both. It sucks to play one type of toon over and over. The game lasts longer if you mix it up. Good luck. |

For H/H flexibility, I would say Assassin since it can be the physical in Sabway or the caster in Discordway.

But basically it's personal preference. If you prefer caster and staying out of melee, play a Ritualist. If you prefer jumping straight into the action, play an Assassin. |

I love to play my sin H/H, but i hate to play my rit with them.
Rits are fun to play in human parties, buffing the physicals etc, but i dont take physical henchies so it basically means i hae to spirit spam |

Thank you all for the replies
I think I'm more an assassin type of guy, however I think that an assassin will have "more trouble" doing dungeons HM with H/H? However sins are amazing for farming purposes and I plan to farm a bit to get some high end stuff. I'll guess I'll stick with the sin and do "other" stuff with my rit and my monk (i miss my 600/smiter dungeon runs ) |

Nah, don't worry about that. Just make sure you and your heroes got proper builds and are runed and equipped, and know how the game mechanics work, then you should be able to do it. I actually prefer H/H'ing on my sin, because that's how I'm in charge of what I aggro, when I aggro, I take the initial damage not some squishy backline caster (no, sins aren't squishy with Critical Agility, a bar without that is squishy). Also I'm in charge of like 75% of the damage. My heroes buff me and do some damage by themselves as well, then there's the henchies that do further damage. But that's just me, I'm a melee type of guy myself. Casters make me feel so slow in GW.
